Junior Infants

Junior Infants have had a great few weeks!
We visited the chicks in Senior Infants.
We created our own superheroes and listened to different songs about superheroes in music.
We have been enjoying the sunshine and having picnic outside!

Junior Infants were on assembly this week. Our assembly was about dogs. We were absolutely amazing and Ms. McGuckin is proud of us. ❤️

Junior Infants have been working hard over the last few weeks!
We have been in the Garda Station in Aistear. We printed our fingerprints with paint.
We have been practicing our number formation in Maths and working on our comprehension skills in English!

This week Junior Infants were learning all about the number 1. We also had our first turn with the IPads. It was a lot of fun!

This week we were very busy in Junior Infants! In maths we were learning about making patterns. In PE we were working on our throwing and catching. We were learning about our 5 senses in SESE. We had to sort the pictures into the right sense. We read ‘The Girl who Never makes Mistakes’ and ‘Beautiful Oops’. We were learning that it’s ok to make a mistake and everyone makes mistakes sometimes. In art we all got a page with a beautiful oops on it and we had to turn it into a picture!

We have had a busy week in Junior Infants! We have been learning about autumn, so we went on a nature walk looking for some signs of autumn. We learned and hedgehogs and squirrels. We made squirrels from different colour autumn leaves. In PE we were practicing our catching with beanbags. On Wednesday we carved pumpkins. We had a great day on Friday when we were all dressed up. We made Rice Krispie buns and had fun doing art with our buddies!

We have had a very fun week in Junior Infants. We started out Halloween Aistear, we were busy making pumpkins in playdough, potions in role play and spider took over our dolls house in small world! We also went on a sounds treasure hunt. We bhad a list of different sounds we had to listen for outside.

6th class wrote and illustrated big books all about manners and read them to their buddies in Junior Infants.

Junior Infants have had a fantastic week! We had so much fun start Aistear. Our theme this month is ‘The Home’. We had a role play corner, playdough, construction building a house and art painting a self portrait.

We have had an amazing first few weeks in Junior Infants!
We have been very busy getting to know each other and making lots of new friends.
We were doing some sorting in Maths with our toys.
We did some painting with dots for International Dot Day.
We have learned some new Irish words like donn, cathaoir, leabhar, doras, bord and mála scoile.
