Rang a Ceathair/4th Class

4th class performed really well in groups and individually in the ceolchoirm. Please enjoy their performances.

Delighted to see some brighter weather in march. We spent some time with our 1st class buddies helping them to practice some Bia words. We will be playing bingo next week. We have been learning lots of gaeilge and celebrating seachtain na Gaeilge. We are looking forward to our ceolchoirm next week. We went on a school tour to Blanchardstown library . We made ice-cream and it was really fun. We also studied the artist VIncent van gogh re-created one of his famous paintings.

Lots of work and fun in 4th class. We looked at magnets in science and made some magnet cars. We held an assembly on respect- it included a poem and some rol plays. We looked a chance in maths and had great fun making spinners and experimenting with coin tosses. We had lots of group work and hands on activities. We had pancakes- a very big thank you to the PA. We did some quilling and made fab Valentines day cards. We had a treat day with hot chocolate.

What a fun filled few weeks we have had. We visited the Dead Zoo in November and had a wonderful tour. We loved exploring there. It was our first trip on Dublin Bus so that was exciting. We have created lots of christmas art over the last few weeks. We also made a christmas tree for the Christmas tree festival. We have been working on the theme of An scoil (school) and An Nollaig (Christmas) in Irish. We have been looking at recount writing in English. We wrote Christmas poems. In drama we had great fun in groups creating freeze frames. In PE we were working on dance and created short dances in groups. We had our wonderful carol service so lots of singing. Ready to re-charge the batteries for more fun and learning in 2026. Wishing you all a fabulous Christmas and best wishes for 2026.

A big welcome back to school. What a busy September it has been! Learning lots and getting back into our routine. Every morning we start our day with a morning meeting. It gets us off to a great start. We were learning about mè fèin in gaeilge learning lots of vocabularly and practising our conversation. In history we looked at sources of information and school in the past. In science we looked our bodies. We have looked at growth mindset and hosted our assembly on it.
